Sacha Berès

Sacha Berès

Born in Lwów 01.01.1933 as Stanislaw Brzezicki.
With more than sixty exhibitions worldwide to his credit, he doesn't have to prove anything to the art world anymore. World known particularly in European art circles, Sacha Berès held his first exhibition in Europe in 1967. His studies at the Academy of Fine Art in Kraków, Katowice and Wrocław (Poland), provided the background necessary to develop his unique abstract style.
His works are demonstrated in a range of mediums: paintings, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, and stage design. His works are hosted in several museums, privately, publicly and corporately throughout Europe, North America, Israel and the Bahamas. The invigorating atmosphere and cameradie of living in Vienna and on Manhattan, gave this remarkable depth to his works.

The work of this artist is a rare blending of inspired imagery together with the perceptive feeling for color and tone. He is a painter obsessed with depicting a vibrant image of a dreamworld. His visions are expressed in a distinctive language of poetic notions, subtle tonalities and transparencies. His distinguished and inventive paintings are a challenge to our visual sense.
They go beyond fashion and are deep, genuine reflections of a authentic vision and sensibility. Sacha Berèsès is not only a consummate painter, but also an extremely imaginative visual artist. His multilayered education enabled him to explore to a great scope of expressions, working in a wide range of media.

He worked out his own unique technic - in watercolor the method of: liquid watercolor on japanese blotting-paper, in acrylic painting the technic: wet over the fat, and in portraiture a improved method of frottage.
